{"id":12,"date":"2015-03-13T11:39:41","date_gmt":"2015-03-13T10:39:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.protektor-ag.de\/de\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2022-09-13T16:32:34","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T14:32:34","slug":"guarantee-fund","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.protektor-ag.de\/en\/guarantee-fund","title":{"rendered":"Guarantee fund for life insurance companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">An act of 15 December 2004 amending the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protektor-ag.de\/de\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/01\/VAG_Regelungen_zum_Sicherungsfonds.pdf\">Insurance Supervision Law <small>(in German language)<\/small><\/a> bindingly prescribed that a protection fund would be set up to safeguard German life insurance policies.<\/p>\n<p>This protection fund is designed to protect the claims of policyholders, the people insured, the beneficiaries and other people benefiting from the life insurance policy.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Ministry of Finance issued a decree (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.protektor-ag.de\/de\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/07\/beleihungsverordnung.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Assignment Decree <small>(in German language)<\/small><\/a>) entrusting Protektor Lebensversicherungs-AG with the tasks and powers of a insurance guarantee fund for life insurance companies. Protektor Lebensversicherungs-AG, originally founded as a voluntary rescue company, adapted its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protektor-ag.de\/de\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/07\/Satzung.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statutes <small>(in German language)<\/small><\/a> accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>The insurance guarantee fund compiles an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protektor-ag.de\/en\/guarantee-fund\/annual-reports-guarantee-fund\">annual report<\/a>.
